What is/are grits?
Small Bullet According to http:///www.dictionary.com: grits: A ground, usually white meal of dried and hulled corn kernels that is boiled and served as a breakfast food or side dish. Coarsely ground grain, especially corn.

In these here parts, though, GRITS are Girls Riding In The South.

Are there any requirements to being a GRITS?
Small Bullet Only two ... just be a female and ride your own motorcycle and you are a GRITS!

What's the big deal about being a GRITS?
Small Bullet If you have to ask, we ain't gonna tell ya, and you'll probably get The Look in the bargain!

Do I have to live or ride in the Southern USA to be a GRITS?
Small Bullet No, we have a charter GRITS in Michigan. Well, hey, she's south of Canada, ain't she?

Do I have to talk funny to be a GRITS?
Small Bullet Now, who in the Sam Hill are y'all sayin' talks funny-like?

What do GRITS look like?

What do GRITS do?
Small BulletEDUCATE, ADVOCATE, ERADICATE! We are dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and the sisterhood of motorcycling.

Are we trying to leave out the men in our lives?
Small Bullet NO!! How could we possibly do that? Our men are known as OKRA (stands for Occasionally Kin Ride Along) and those of us with our very own personal OKRA's know that they can come in handy at times. We are busy working up some rules for OKRA, but of course, once they learn the rules, the rules will immediately have to be changed, so maybe we'll just go riding instead!

What if I don't ride my own (i.e., I enjoy the view from the back seat just fine)?
